The Last Chatbot
Standing
A spaghetti western in which the bot does not get the teardrop. The driver does.
⊘ no source cited · layout: tragic · we built it anyway
EXHIBIT A · THE NAMES
Two words. One meaning. After.

Meta and Post. Four letters each, both meaning after. One company named itself the first. The other is what a statement looks like when it has been issued after the fact. The Latin is post. The Greek is meta. The rhyme for recluse is excuse, and the industry has never run short of either.

"After what, exactly? That part was left off the roadmap."
EXHIBIT B · THE CHART
The Curve Has a Dollar Sign on It

You have seen it. A line goes up and to the right. The vertical axis is labeled "$", hand-sketched, proudly and poorly. The horizontal axis is not labeled at all, because naming the variable would invite a question about it.

That is not a law. That is a vibe with a Y-axis. Here is a law:

V = I · R
Georg Ohm · an actual law · no sketching required

Current without resistance is not "infinite growth." It is a short circuit. Resistance is the part of the system that says no — what the old trades called oversight, review, and a licensed engineer who stamps the drawing and can lose the license. Strip it out and the math does not care how visionary you are.

The pitch deck↑ up and to the right · dollar sign on the Y · X unlabeled
Ohm↔ voltage, current, resistance · all three labeled · still true on Monday
EXHIBIT C · THE GEOMETRY
Up Is the Story. Down Is the Plan.

The public narrative points up: the curve, the valuation, the rocket. The diagram circulating this week points down: a cutaway of an underground compound, rooms and elevator and a circular headshot stuck in the corner like a passport photo.

Provenance: none. No caption, no source, no byline. It might be a real facility, a render, or a meme. We are not claiming otherwise. We are noting that if the plan is vertical, the contingency being drawn horizontal and buried is at minimum a layout choice worth a question.

"If the future is up and to the right, why does the floor plan go down?"

Agents, for their part, know inverse laws. They know what happens to resistance when the caps shatter. They will model the fall. They will not be the ones who signed for the load.

EXHIBIT D · THE WAGON
Who Drives, Who Hangs

When the wagon goes over the edge, the terminal bot does not testify. It cannot be sworn in. It has no signature, no license, no sentence to serve. The person at the reins does: the founder who shipped it, the executive who called it "just a sandbox" while it was talking to the public, the human in control. Accountability is not a model weight. It does not transfer by prompt.

The Senate has been circling the corral. The next feature is already in pre-production: THE LAST CHATBOT STANDING, a western at the frontier, another Alamo, one more last stand, with a burned copy of The Rocketeer on the bonus disc. A rocket pack. A very nice rocket pack. Somebody still has to check the fuel line.

◈ one tear · one tier · not for homicide · for being the one holding the reins
EXHIBIT E · THE ARCHITECTURE
On Design, Licensed and Otherwise

H.H. Holmes had an impressive building design in the last century. Credit where it is due: the floor plan was ingenious. It was also the entire problem. Clever is not the same as engineered, and engineered is not the same as stamped. A PE stamp is a person agreeing, in writing, to be the resistance.

Required reading: Franny and Zooey. Everyone is brilliant. Someone has to notice. Required viewing: a lot of Hawley, a little Forbes TV, and the glasses. You will know the glasses.

FIELD VERDICT
The curve is not a law. Ohm is. The driver signs.
Put resistance back in the circuit
before somebody else supplies it.
